Mary Glackmeyer

Mary is a 300-hour certified Jivamukti Yoga Instructor and a 350-hour Swan River Yoga instructor. Mary's teaching is dynamic and transformative. Her education in anatomy, kinesiology, and yoga therapy combined with her “natural ability to capture your attention,” creates a unique setting for one to discover their highest potential. She co-created Longwave Yoga’s 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and co-facilitates both the 200-hour and 300-hour programs. She also serves as Longwave Yoga’s Programs Director. Her classes are sequenced to spark our vital fire through yogic techniques like pranayama, asana, meditation, and chanting, building a steady and joyful foundation from which we can develop the strength, endurance and serenity that we need to walk courageously towards our Truth in life while enjoying every step of the journey!

Rebecca Warfield

Rebecca received her 200 and 300-hour certification at Longwave Yoga. For many years, Rebecca unintentionally explored yoga by way of ballet and modern dance. After completing a Master’s in English literature and teaching English at the university-level, Rebecca began exploring the expansiveness of yogic studies by way of both physical practice and academic study. Like language and literature, Rebecca found yoga is a vehicle toward one’s personal articulation of what it means to be aware and clear in the world. As a lifelong learner and educator, Rebecca believes that yoga can transform one’s life by recognizing his or her own potential. Rebecca believes there is no one-size-fits-all version of yoga and enjoys witnessing the practice take a personal shape within each person’s life both on and off the mat.

Angela David

Angela, a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher, took her first yoga class in 2011. Angela reflects, “ I
initially approached yoga as a form of exercise, but I gained so much more than flexibility and strength. I
gained confidence, and became comfortable in my body. The focus on breath and movement led me to
develop inner awareness, and a sense of clarity and peace. Through my yoga practice, I’ve learned how
to cultivate balance in my life off the mat.” Angela’s teaching is grounded in her belief that knowledge
of the physical body leads to a deeper understanding of self. A nurse for twenty years, her knowledge of
anatomy and professional experience inform her teaching. Her classes are intelligently sequenced, and
designed to build strength and stability. Through concise alignment cues and compassionate guidance,
Angela seeks to empower students to take charge of their own personal practice. Angela received her
200 and 300-hour certification at Longwave Yoga under the direction of Lexi Hawks and Mary
Glackmeyer. She is currently studying under Annie Carpenter in pursuit of 300-hour certification in
SmartFLOW Yoga.

Sarah Bulluck

Sarah Bulluck, a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher, began her yoga journey in 2003. She was initially drawn to yoga as a way to balance the fitness classes that she taught. She found out that yoga brought her more than physical flexibility and strength, it gave her body awareness and mental calmness. Sarah completed the 200-hour and 300-hour
Sunrise Yoga Teacher Training Program with Valerie Kiser, owner and director of Sunrise Studio in Winston Salem, NC. Her training is in the Hatha yoga technique, predominately in the Iyengar style of alignment based yoga. She has trained with Iyengar certified teachers including Elise Browning Miller, Julie Gudmestad and Cindy Dollar. In addition, she has completed 90 hours of Ayurveda training with Larissa Carlson and John Doulillard. Recently, Sarah completed Elise Browning Miller’s Scoliosis Teacher Certification. Sarah continues to attend workshops and trainings with internationally know instructors. She wants to bring the healing powers of yoga to anybody in any body of all levels and abilities. Her classes have a focus on alignment and self care.

Kristen Nice

I began my relationship with Yoga in 2005 at a local YMCA while living in the Midwest. Originally looking for a way to de-stress, I soon realized the scope of potential lessons Yoga has to offer. In 2010, I felt an urge to deepen my commitment to my yoga practice and took a week-long retreat in Valle Crucis, NC. While at this retreat, the effects of taking time and space for oneself became clear, and I found a new stillness through my breath. I am certified as a RYT 200 in 2013 with Ashley Ludman and am currently in my second year of the 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training at Longwave Yoga in Wilmington, North Carolina where I live with my husband, Scott, and our dog, Della Lu. I have always traveled the creative path, spending time in painting, photography and jewelry as well as the physical expressions of dance, theatre, and even as a circus clown. In my life, I look to celebrate the details--the bits and pieces that make up our surroundings. As I express myself and share my discoveries through art and yoga, I hope to help others slow down and see the details that make up their lives.
Vinyasa classes mindfully unite intention, breath, and movement. This class will offer a well-rounded practice that includes meditation, pranayama, sun salutations, and fluid movement between postures. All levels are welcome, as there will be modifications, specific alignment cues, and options offered throughout class. It is recommended that brand new yogis partake in beginner or basic classes before joining an open-level class.
