Devan

Devan is a certified 200 RYT from her second home, Longwave Yoga. She got her yoga bite 3 years ago when she moved to Wilmington from NYC. She heard through the grapevine that Longwave Yoga was hiring so she showed up in her Ninja Turtle shirt, and white blazer ready to be interviewed. Loving the enthusiasm they hired her as their intern for six months! She worked her way to receive her 200 RYT and is now working with Mary Glackmeyer in the apprenticeship program. Longwave Yoga has always been home for Devan and she’s honored to finally be a part of the teaching staff. Her goal is to combine the artistic healing background she has already cultivated and mix it with her fun loving nature. "Om namah shivaya”.


Devan instructs the following:
  • Basic Vinyasa | Basic
  • Vinyasa classes mindfully unite intention, breath, and movement. This class will offer a well-rounded practice that includes meditation, pranayama, sun salutations, and fluid movement between postures. All levels are welcome, as there will be modifications, options and specific alignment cues given throughout the class that appeals to beginners and those expanding the basics of a vinyasa practice.

  • Awake & Flow | Open
  • Awake & Flow

    Caffeine isn’t the only way to get your energy moving in the morning! Awake & Flow is designed to perk up the body and mind so you can tackle your day feeling energized and centered. This vinyasa style class will mindfully unite intention, breath and movement. Awake & Flow offers an upbeat playlist for a well-rounded practice that includes meditation, pranayama, sun salutations, and fluid movement between postures. All ability levels are welcome, as there will be modifications, options and specific alignment cues given throughout the class that appeal to all levels of practitioners. It is highly recommended that brand new beginner yogis partake in the beginner and /or basic level classes before joining an open-level class.
