Jessie Greenwell ERYT 200, RYT500
Co-Owner, Teacher Trainer
Jessie has an athletic background; originally from Maryland, she grew up playing soccer, swimming, surfing and running track. She pursued her undergrad at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Elementary and Special Education. After college, she taught kindergarten and first-grade special education for 5 years, during which time she fell in love with yoga. She obtained her RYT-200 certification from CorePower Yoga in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Wilmington in 2019 to pursue a yoga career with Longwave Yoga as a teacher, event coordinator, and manager of the studio!
She specializes in Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, and SUP Yoga.
Jessie has great respect for the ocean and a lifelong passion for surfing! She uses her yoga practice to compliment her time spent on the water. Yoga helps to strengthen her physically while also providing a beautiful emotional and spiritual release and connect with the world around her - on land or at sea! She is *trying* to learn how to slow down especially after becoming a mom and rest by staying in tune with her body, but this chick is pretty much always on the go! You can catch her surfing at the South End or teaching SUP Yoga, Vinyasa, and Hour of Power classes at Longwave.
Jessie believes that yoga is both a strong physical practice and a lifelong journey inward toward one’s truest self. It is, at its core, a deep connection with the universe - practiced both on and off the mat in the things we do, think, and say. What we cultivate on our mat should permeate our everyday lives and bring us closer to our higher self - that which fills our souls completely.

With a strong athletic background and desire to understand the needs of the physical and mental body, Logan practiced yoga for years before discovering Longwave. Through Longwave’s reputable lineage, Logan obtained her RYT 200, RYT 500, and SUP Yoga teaching certification.“Yoga has opened the door for a lifetime of learning, self-discovery, and an opportunity to do what I love, teach. It has also paved the way for me to lead workshops and classes in studios around the southeast, and international yoga retreats. Now, I have the honor of co-owning Longwave with my best friend, Jessie, and facilitating our 200-hour, 300-hour, and SUP Yoga teacher trainings. “
Committing fully to this journey on the long wave of life has taught her how to navigate life’s uncharted waters with grace and strength and instilled in the devotion to share that same sense of personal power with others. It has encouraged a deeper connection within, and reminds her everyday that she is capable of creating the life she desires to live. Through training and teaching, Logan hopes to hold the light for students as they uncover their own confidence, strength, and self-love in an embodied, compassionate and vulnerable way, inspiring those around her to live in a way that truly fulfills their soul and uplifts the world.

Kristen Nice RYT500, YACEP
Pre & Postnatal Expert, Teacher Trainer
Kristen began her practice in 2007. Soon after, she realized the effect both the physical practice and the yogic philosophy had on her mind, body and health and knew she wanted to share the gift of yoga with others.
In 2013 she completed her 200Hr training and began teaching. During her first practice at Longwave Yoga in 2015, Kristen knew that she had found her yoga home for her personal practice and continued training. In January of 2019 Kristen completed the two year 300 Advanced Teacher Training with Longwave Yoga under the mentorship of Lexi Hawks and Mary Glackmeyer.
Kristen believes that yoga has gifts to offer everyone, no matter where they are in their practice, or stage of life, and while working with all levels of students, especially enjoys teaching beginner and prenatal clients. Considering herself a life long student, Kristen is dedicated to continuing education and has taken advantage of the many great guest teachers Longwave Yoga has brought to Wilmington, such as Leslie Kaminoff, Noah Maze, Nikki Costello, Kelly Haas, Jules Febre, Maria Garre, Bill Mahony and Manorama. When planning her class themes and sequences, Kristen’s inspiration comes from the yogic concepts she sees present in her own life and her hope is that by bringing those concepts to be examined on the mat, and building relationships with her clients, she can hold sacred space for her students and celebrate all stages of transformation.
Kristen reflects, “I feel whole when I practice and at home when I teach. My hope is to help guide my students to that same feeling, to know they are their own best teacher and that if they listen to that inner teacher, they will also find their own limitlessness.”

Charley Taylor RYT200
Charley started her yoga journey twelve years ago. Coming from a competitive gymnastics background from age two to age sixteen, she was constantly trying to find something that could fill the mental and physical void after having an injury that kept her from furthering her gymnastics career. After coaching gymnastics for 5 years, she decided to continue searching for something more.
Her first yoga class she attended was the start to the beginning of a lifelong journey of inner truth, self- love, love for all beings, and her beautiful ever developing spiritual path. Where the poses came easily, she learned that yoga was way more than striking hard poses or having the most perfect form. Yoga is a lifestyle that keeps her the student always. Always learning and moving forward, developing and challenging the mind, body, and spirit.
She obtained her RYT-200 from Tamal Dodge in 2019 and her specialty is vinyasa flow and yin yoga. She has her Reiki 1 and will be furthering her knowledge to Reiki 2 this year. Her favorite class to teach is one that begins with a strong vinyasa flow then transitions to a yin practice that helps the students touch all bases of their physical and mental practice.
Charley loves the outdoors and nature. She loves to spend her time meditating, soaking up the sun on the beach and the boat, and loving on her fur babies. She also loves to cook delicious and colorful plant- based meals and cooks for retreats yearly. She believes that yoga is not just a workout but a lifestyle that is available to anyone and everyone and strongly believes that spending even just a few minutes on your mat daily will transform your life in ways you would not believe. Taking you down your ever changing, winding and curvy, beautiful path of life. Always forward, and never straight.
